Trek by the Numbers

Over 7 days, we hiked 70 miles and gained 19k vertical feet through about 45:12. During the hiking portion of our trek I tracked 23.5k calories burned. That means on an average day, we hiked 10 miles and over half a vertical mile in about 6.5 hours. Including sleep and other activities, I burned approximately 5000 calories a day. We definitely consumed less than half that number.

Schedule:
- Night 1: Camp at Las Torres Hotel, Shelter, and Camping
- Day 1: 19.6 miles and 3136', estimated 12 hours, actual 8:57
- Night 2: Camp at Dickson Shelter and Camping
- Day 2: 7.5 miles and 1821', estimated 4.5 hours (and supposedly 6.5 miles), actual 5:06
- Night 3: Camp at Los Perros Camping Area
